-"The Rio Chagres is a great place for birds and the best way to see them is with Gonzalo. His boat is purpose built, roomy and stable, and Gonzalo knows where to go. He is also a nice guy Cheers". Michael Bruxner,  mbruxner ( AT ) internode.on.net

- "Thank you for a memorable birding experience in Gamboa. We are very happy we got to do both the pipeline as well as the birding by boat with you. Both very beautiful locations with a lot of wild life. We appreciated your flexibility in accommodating our schedule, your knowledge of the local area, and your good humor along the way. . Thanks again." Meenakshi. mvarandani ( AT ) nycedc.com

-  "Hi Gonzalo...We had a great time on the tour. We saw the most birds on your boating tour. It was nice just to sit and look for the birds. We did get good pictures of birds. We have lots of fond memories of Panama. Our whole trip went very well. Thank you for being part of our wonderful trip to Panama and the memories we have ot it...Best Wishes,
Eva Gonyer, <Legonyer ( AT ) usfamily.net>

"... Total 274 species for both Panama (225) and Darien (81) provinces. Susan and I got 141 lifers. For comparison our 2004 Brazil trip got 269 species (226 lifers) and 2006 Ecuador trip got 192 species (172 lifers).....Susan got the Great Tinamou, Dusky-faced Tanager, Black-and-yellow Tanager, and Purple-crowned Fairy on me and I got the Rufous-necked Wood-Rail and Rufous Mourner on her. Turns out that I had seen the Barred Antshrike in the Pantanal 2004 and in Mexico in 1995. All that fuss I made!
Thanks to Gonzalo, Kilo, local guides Julian, Mario and Luis we saw lots of great birds. As noted before we got more species than both Brazil and Ecuador trips".

"Dear Gonzalo, ...  We had a wonderful time on the trip, and have fond memories of the areas we visited and the birds we saw. Thank you for putting together such a great trip. Everything was better than expected, which is quite an accomplishment since we arrived with high expectations. We hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future for more birding in your beautiful country.
We wish you good luck in all your endeavors, and good birding always! Best regards,"
Kathleen, Ventura  CA, USA, <kathleen_shizuru  (AT)  hotmail.com> ,

- "Gonzalo- Thank you for showing us many beautiful birds.  Best regards"- Cyndy & Kent, Arizona,

- "Hello Gonzalo: We did look closely today at our pictures of the Harpy Eagle, and we're pleased with them.  What an experience that was for all of us.  We'll no doubt post some of those pictures to our website http://www.digitalsmyth.com.  Anyway Gonzalo, we sure enjoyed our time with you.  You're a very knowledgable guide and a pleasure to spend time with, and we'll happily recommend your services whenever given the opportunity.  Thank you for helping Panama come alive for us."  Dor'e, Pillar & Patric, L.A.,California, <Doreme1 (AT) aol.com>,

"Gonzalo is a down to earth friendly guy and with him what you see is what you get which is really great; he delivers what he promises. I birded with Gonzalo in Chagres, (Pipeline Road - Old Gamboa Road and sorroundings) Achiote and around the Panama City area. His local knowledge is top-notch and he really knows where there are birds to be seen and also which areas to avoid !. When The Pipeline Road failed to deliver, Gonzalo took me to some other spots around Gamboa which would have been impossible for me to find had I been on my own.  Also, he is very knowledgeable about the tourist/travel situation in Panama which is very handy... Moreover, Gonzalo hired a very knowledgeable local guide (named Julian) from the Achiote Community, and that really contributed to the success of the birding in Achiote."  Mohamad Mahdi, Sydney, Australia   <pnptrip (AT) yahoo.com>,  III /2008 ( Note: the above underline is mine).   http://www.geocities.com/pnptrip/Pindex.html

- "Gonzalo, Thank you so much for your expert guidance!" David Jordet, sailbirder (AT) yahoo.com, New York,

- "We all really appreciated the time and effort that you put into showing us the birds of the Gamboa and Achiote Road areas..." Barbara, Kathleen, Don, Howie, Dave, Dennis, Carol, Rob, Melissa, Miriam and Eva Callahan, evamsc (AT) verizon.net, II / 2008. "The noisy group from NY!"
